Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival Leh
Upon arrival at Leh airport, meet and greet by our local staff, & transfer to the hotel. On arrival at Hotel traditional welcome with serve the welcome drink as tea, coffee, snakes. After getting rooms, we suggest to you complete rest for acclimatization to the height altitude of Leh (3500 mtrs). PM drive to the city for an orientation walk in the markets, followed by a visit to Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace and Sankar Gompa. Dinner and overnight in Hotel. (B/D)

Day 2

Leh – Alchi – Likir - Nimmu - Magnetic Hill – Leh
After breakfast commence full day "Lower Ladakh" Sightseeing. Drive to Alchi Choskor, the oldest surviving monastic complex of the region and famous for its painting and architecture. After sightseeing and lunch here, drive back to Leh, en-route visiting Magnetic point, Gurudwara Pather Sahib, the 'Temple of Guardians' (Gon-kahng) in Spituk monastery, which is revered by Hindu devotees as Kali-Mandir, and the Hall of Fame. Dinner and overnight at Hotel. (B/D)

Day 3

Leh - Pangong Lake
Early departure for Pangong Lake (Approx 165 kms) via Changla pass (alt. 17380). Pangong lake (alt. 14500ft) is 4-5 kms wide and over 135 kms long, about two-third of which the late afternoon drive back for 30 kms to Tsangse village and check into Fix Camp. Dinner and overnight at Pangong. (B/D)

Day 4

Pangong Lakek – Hemis- Thiksey & Shey Palace – Leh
Leave Tangtse after breakfast and retrace the road to Leh across the Changla Pass. Upon reaching Karu, drive across the Indus and visit Hemis Monastery, the biggest and most famous monastery of Ladakh, and then return to the highway for onward journey to Leh, en-route visiting Thiksey Monastery. On arrival at Leh, drop at local market, back to hotel by walk. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel. (B/D)

Day 5

Leh-Khardungla Pass - Nubra (120 Km)
After breakfast drive to the Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass, the highest motorable mountain pass in the world at a height of about 18,380 Ft. Enjoy unbelievable but true spectacular views of the Himalayas. Arrive Hunder where you can enjoy the double hump camel ride. Later drive to Hotel check in, rest of the time walk in the local market. Overnight at Camp. (B/D)

Day 6

Nubra – Khardung La Pass – Leh
After breakfast visit the Deskit Gompa (monastery). The Gompa is about 350 yrs old and is the biggest of its kind in the Nubra Valley. Return to Leh by the evening. Rest of the time visit Shanti Stupa and Tsemo Castle. Dinner and overnight at hotel at Leh. (B/D)

Day 7

Leh Departure
Early morning transfer to Airport for taking the fight for onwards journey.
